SPring 2024 poetry workshop

Writers of all experience levels encouraged! We’ll read*, write, and workshop poems each Wednesday for five weeks, creating momentum to sustain us independently through the summer. This course is ideal for those looking to start a new writing project, or reinvigorate an old one, as we’ll be using a range of entry-points to generate “seeds” in each session. Each class will include short meditations or somatic practices, abundant quick but deep prompts, and a rigorous heart-centered structure for discussing published and student-generated poems. Participants will be invited to write a poem each week, between classes - though no assignments are mandatory. Class caps at 15, ensuring everyone gets workshop time.

Payment via PayPal or Venmo, upon registering (details will be posted after you register, and emailed). All sessions meet on Zoom.

*Readings likely to include poems by Paul Hlava Ceballos, Cody-Rose Clevidence, Bob Kaufman & Jenny Xie.
