This semi-seasonal offering is for writers, artists, activists, scholars, educators, and anyone wanting to pause and reconnect to your desires, vision, goals, and creative and communal projects & practices. Together, we periodically set aside time to gather and center reflection, creativity, rest and nourishment for a day, so that you can move forward into summer grounded, clearer, and more energized. We’ll be committing to a Friday morning at home (or somewhere peaceful), free of obligations, when we’ll center creative and somatic practices, and collective and individual care.
Participants will receive a welcome email with details for setting yourself up well, and suggestions for extending your reset into your weekend, if you want to. We’ll meet together for two hours via Zoom, with gentle and optional guidance for holding space for yourself before and after the meeting.

I offer resets by sliding scale, because I want these days to be fully accessible. I also understand you might want to participate at a lower rate, if facing financial hardship. Just be in touch. Here’s a suggested sliding scale:

Evolving from previously offered biannual day-long resets, I now offer three seasonal resets each year, every four months, in late winter, late spring, and mid-autumn. These resets each consist of a two hour Zoom, with the option and guidance for you to extend the experience into a day-long, or even a even a weekend long, creative retreat for yourself.
You can come once, or plan to return every four months, ongoing, as a space to touch in to your inner resources, connect with community, and set intentions for the season of creation ahead.
What to expect:
grounding in purpose — we’ll do a somatic centering practice, and reflect on where we’re coming from. Loose, generative writing prompts will initiate flow.
creative visioning — we’ll explore and clarify your next steps for the season ahead, share our visions, and close with brief meditation.

This reset is a time for you to pause, recharge, realign to purpose, create, reflect, and envision how you want to move forward through this summer and forwards.
It can feel really good to set aside the entire day (or even the entire weekend) and allow time for rest, creative process, and engagement with inspiring materials (films, books, records, artist dates…) How you spend the day/weekend towards these intentions is entirely up to you. The welcome email will contain suggestions that you can follow, if you’d like.
Perhaps, the early morning is for stretching, writing a little, and eating a simple and nourishing breakfast before we meet.
For the afternoon, you might continue to flow from our writing prompts into your creative practice. Or from our visioning practice into creative journaling and planning. This is a good time to work on projects that you want to start or reinvigorate, and/or to move or rest your body as desired.
In the evening, you might prepare a nourishing meal, read or watch something inspiring, rest, reflect, or meditate, trying to stay as screen-free as possible (not including beloved films) as you wind down towards sleep and dreams.

Clear your schedule as much as you can for the day, and even the weekend. This day is for you to slow down and listen to what’s needed.
Before Friday, gather groceries that make you feel good, so you can prepare simple, nourishing meals for yourself. Or plan to order in, or whatever else you want to do to eat well! Take some time in advance to plan meals that work for you, so you don’t have to think too much about it when the day comes.
Set up/clear your space for support.
